Description: What began as a straightforward carpet and shock pad replacement developed into a full pitch reconstruction when it became apparent that the existing sub-base and drainage were inadequate. In collaboration with the appointed contractor, Philips Surveyors took responsibility for coordinating the redesign, agreeing costs, and liaising with the Local Authority. The project ultimately comprised the construction of a new FIFA-quality 3G artificial pitch suitable for both football and hockey, incorporating an attenuated drainage system, tarmacadam run-off areas, and new perimeter fencing. Philips Surveyors administered the contract, project managed the works, and acted as CDM Principal Designer throughout.
